The conference will be held at the famous Legend Hotel in the beautiful city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. Considered to be the Last Frontier of the Philippines, its lush tropical rainforests are home to numerous exotic wildlife. The eight-kilometer long Puerto Princesa Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered to be one of the longest underground rivers in the world. Recently, it was also included as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
Puerto Princesa City is located about one hour away by plane from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA, the main airport in Manila). There is one regular airline (Philippine Airlines) and three budget airlines (Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines, Zest Air) flying daily from Manila to Puerto Princesa. Participants who will be coming from major Southeast Asian cities like Jakarta, Singapore, and Bangkok via Cebu Pacific are recommended to take the same airline to Puerto Princesa as to eliminate the need to transfer terminals.
For participants coming to Manila, please be advised that there are four airport terminals that are spread apart at NAIA. Most international flights arrive at Terminal 1 while Philippine Airlines flights arrive at Terminal 2. Terminal 3 is reserved for Cebu Pacific and Air Philippines while the Domestic Terminal is the hub for Zest Air. Please allot at least three hours between connecting flights. In addition, transfer between terminals cost around 45 pesos ($1) and may take from 10-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
